When I work with non-native English speakers, I refer to spoken English as “the Beast”. For someone who comes to the US as an adult, learning to speak our language is as difficult as managing a wild animal. I say this because although English has rules for spelling and pronunciation, it often does not follow its own rules! It doesn’t play fair!

I’m an Accent Modification coach and I help smart, talented and motivated people who want to speak confidently and be understood easily in English, with an accent. I explain this in a recent interview with Life Working. Click on the link to read the full interview entitled,

Speaking American-Style English: Taming “the Beast.
